Commitments

2SPL has been a member of the Bavaria-wide semiconductor network BAVARIAN CHIPS ALLIANCE since the beginning of 2023.

The initiative to create an ecosystem for semiconductors was launched in 2021 by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. The network’s mission is to boost knowledge exchange and collaboration both among the partners of the semiconductor value chain and with science and users. It also aims to make Bavaria more attractive as a business location for technology companies and to make supply chains more resilient.

We support the BAVARIAN CHIPS ALLIANCE since the beginning of 2023 with our expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the field of chip and semiconductor technology. For more information, please visit our expertise profile.

Being a relatively young firm, we still remember well both the excitement of a startup company and the great challenges. We are particularly committed to support startup companies and to enable them to generate the best revenue from their research-, development-, and design efforts from the very beginning.

Further, we help startup’s controlling their initial costs for intellectual property right protection by consulting them to what extent they may benefit from EU sponsorship programs for protecting their IP.

As part of our special commitment, we partner with one of Germanys most successful start-up incubators, ESA BIC Bavaria, and offer special fee discounts to startups incubated by ESA BIC Bavaria.

ESA BIC Bavaria is part of the Europe-wide network with 18 ESA Business Incubation Centres. At the three Bavarian locations, Oberpfaffenhofen, Ottobrunn and Nuremberg, startups highly benefit from the direct access to space technologies, expert advice and technical facilities. The incubation programme provides a comprehensive support programme, from financing to research and development, all the way through to market entry. Established 2004 in Bavaria as the first European space incubator, AZO Anwendungszentrum GmbH Oberpfaffenhofen has been managing ESA Business Incubation Centre (BIC) Bavaria since 2009 with financial support from the Bavarian Ministry of Economics and its first-class partners: European Space Agency (ESA), German Aerospace Center (DLR), Airbus, Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS and KSK München Starnberg Ebersberg. Bees are the supporting pillar of our ecosystem. More than 80% of native flowering plants depend on their pollination.

No pollination, no plants, no plants no animals, no animals no humans, no humans no innovation.

Since 1950, the global bee population has declined by more than half. In Germany, for example, more than 80% of the honey required is imported (consumption 100 000 tonnes), in Austria it is 65% with a consumption of 15 000 tonnes.

In order to prevent the disappearance of bees, 2SPL has decided to support Beefuture for sustainable nature conservation.

The periodic participation of 2SPL at the Bavarian Patent Attorney Kicker Tournament not only guarantees our members a convivial evening in a relaxed atmosphere, but also benefits a good cause through our donation: Through its Circle of Friends, the Stiftung Kindergesundheit offers the opportunity to actively support a healthy upbringing of children and adolescents. It informs the public about important health issues and develops efficient prevention programs for common diseases in cooperation with recognized experts. Only healthy children and young people can fully develop their talents and shape their future in the best possible way!
